Random thoughts on football and posthistory

I've  always dreamed of a news journal who would report that there is nothing to report, that nothing happened lately.
Italian football took us one step closer to this scenario of the occurrence of the non-event: a day in which nothing happened:

Cesena	Fiorentina	0-0	-
Atalanta	Udinese	0-0	-
Cagliari	Siena	0-0	-
Chievo	Juventus	0-0	-
Genoa	Lecce	0-0	-
Novara	Bologna	0-2

So how come that nothing happened, that the nothing happened? Football as spectacle is suddenly emptied and deprived of any content as soon as the political resurfaces in the street.
